Over the past weeks has been buzzing about the possible emergence of a new range of large screen smartphones from Samsung. The Korean manufacturer did not want to wait any longer and has officially introduced the new family Galaxy Mega , which initially will consist of two models of 5.8 and 6.3 inches.

Incredibly, it is inevitable to think again on the minds of executives from Samsung does not exist the word “enough”, and that is that the screen diagonal of the two models just presented far exceeds that of the very Galaxy Note II , which hit the market a few months ago with their not inconsiderable 5.5 inch screen.

A couple of days explain all features of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 , the “little” brother of the new family Mega Galaxy Samsung, but we must not forget that at launch will be accompanied by another even larger model, also with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 LCD screen mounted no less than 6.3 inches with HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels), which gives a pixel density of 233 ppi.

Inside we have a dual core processor at 1.7 GHz, along with 1.5 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity can be either 8 GB or 16 GB depending on the version, but both expandable via MicroSD cards up to 64 GB.

The rear camera is 8 megapixel with LED flash, something that has become a standard for any smartphone medium to high, and we also have the usual front camera for video calls, 1.9 megapixel in this case.

In point of connectivity have WiFi a / b / g / n / ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE), USB 2.0, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and MHL, but the highlight is that it includes support for 4G/LTE networks . It also features an infrared port that will serve to control our TV thanks to integrated software Samsung WatchON . Moreover, the included battery is 3,200 mAh, from the largest to be found in a smartphone, and its huge screen is sure they will need.

In short, all technical specifications are quite normal, say it is usual in a terminal medium to high. But where the Galaxy Mega 6.3  breaks all records is in size, and not because it is the device able to make calls largest market because there tablet beats the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 , but because the South Korean company will sell within the category of mobile phones, ie devices that should be able to carry in our pocket at all times.

Well, its dimensions alzanzan the  167.6 x 88 x 8.0 mm , becoming the ‘smartphone’ largest market, perfect for showing off your big but impractical in my opinion. In addition, its weight is 199 grams, which is pretty tight but, added to the size of the terminal, will make it a rather uncomfortable to carry.

This fall, the fashion house Christian Dior will launch a special edition of its iconic fragrance J’adore L’Absolu, whose bottle expresses so well its content. The famous French artist, Michel Othoniel in a collaboration with Delphine Arnault, who sits on the board of director LVMH, unveils the new look of the bottle of J’adore l’Absolu, which was created in the image of the fragrance inside: refined, voluptuous, exceptional.

The original bottle of J’adore L’Absolu was also wonderful designed with stacks of thin gold bands forming a tribal-looking necklace, evoking the traditions of the Kayan Lahwi tribes, whose women distinguish themselves by elongating their necks with stacks of brass neck coils.

Jean-Michel Othoniel’s ultra-precious version of the bottle loosens the constraints of the necklace, as if to say – Women are free to wear what they want! At the bottle’s neck, the gold thread collar has been transformed into an unraveling glass thread. Without beginning or end, it alludes to infinity and liberty.

Othoniel choosed the Murano glassmakers of Venice, Italy to make the glass bottle, while completely adhering to the technical details. As the UK prepared to go ‘into darkness’ for WWF’s Earth Hour held in the UK this evening, Paramount Pictures is pleased to announce its support with a special ‘Star Trek’ themed light display. This amazing light show by Paramount, in conjunction with Ars Electonica Futurelab & Ascending Technologies, saw quadrocopters fly into the night sky, forming the Star Trek federation logo beside Tower Bridge on a scale never seen before.

The event coincided with WWF’s Earth Hour at 8:30 pm. Along with key landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and The London Eye going dark, the quadrocopters turned off their glow in support of Earth Hour. To signal the end of Earth Hour at 9:30 pm the quadrocopters reformed the Star Trek logo above London’s skyline.

In addition to bumping up the size of the screen from 4.8 inches to 5 inches, the guts of the device also received a significant boost — putting it ahead of the major competition in many technical aspects.

Granted, we haven’t seen the Apple’s (AAPL) +2.58% next iPhone model for 2013, but for the time being the specifications of the Galaxy S 4 are a significant upgrade.

In addition, the device also sports some new software features not seen in the competition, like the ability to interact with the phone using eye movement and hand gestures without touching it.

The Galaxy S 4 will be available late April on most major U.S. carriers, and will run the most recent version of Google’s (GOOG) Android operating system, called Jelly Bean.
