Mirror Mirror on the wall…are you ready for your closeup with Julia Roberts?
The former “Pretty Woman” has been cast as the villainous Evil Queen in “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White”. The premise has the beautiful Snow White plotting revenge, with the help of the seven drarves, on the Evil Queen after she kills her father. The project will be produced by Brett Ratner (X-Men: The Last Stand) and directed by Tarsem Singh (“Immortals”, “The Cell”).
“Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen” Producer and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh said. “She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could.”

Whether that was a compliment or a slight towards the other upcoming big screen adaptation of Snow White called “Snow White and the Huntsman” starring ÀšÃ‚ Charlieze Theron as the Evil Queen remains to be seen.

Production for “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White” begins in April with a theatrical release date of June 2012.
