According to a recent Gallup poll, Americans now consider unemployment—not the economy, or healthcare, or the national debt, or dissatisfaction with the nation’s leaders—to be our country’s number one problem. And since some estimates place the actual (as opposed to the official) unemployment rate as high as 37.2 percent, the poll’s results are certainly justified.
“But—isn’t there always a ‘but’?—I’ve always said there are two types of pain: pain that paralyzes and pain that drives you to perform,” she adds. “And the only way to break yourself out of the rut you’re in is to look at your pain from a different angle. Take your wound, your mess, your disaster, or whatever you want to call it, and use it as motivation to do something that you really want to do.”
Maybe that “something” is starting your own business. Maybe it’s going back to school. Maybe it’s leaping into a whole new career. Regardless, being unemployed (or even living in fear that your job is on the chopping block) can give you the push you need to change your life forever—if only you’ll let it. Continue Reading

Ever since the financial crisis of 2008, many pundits and experts have openly doubted the viability of achieving the American dream. With homeownership, job opportunity and retirement security in decline, an Allstate/National Journal Heartland Monitor poll shows that most Americans agree with what the experts have said. Seven in 10 think that tomorrow’s adults – today’s kids – will have less financial security than adults today.

We’ve gotta admit that while we love the the Batmobile for the the 1960′s Batman television series, and certainly think that High Speed Diva Dylan Johnson looked great with it! Micheal Keaton’s Batmobile was also pretty bad ass; but nothing so far can beat the Dark Knight series Batmobile. The Dubai International Boat Show, opening tomorrow (4th March) will feature 840 exhibiting companies and brands – a 12% increase over 2013 – and is expected to draw more than 26,000 visitors from over 70 different countries including regional royalty. This reflects the UAE’s increasing importance in the international luxury maritime market and heightened consumer confidence across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC).
Regional royalty and top buyers from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and the UAE will join the thousands of visitors from Africa, Asia and China while strong visitor footfall from Europe and America is also expected.
