What it Really Is: Fun. Even if you can€™t tell a Phoenix Force from a regular, run-of-the-mill planet-destroying alien entity, you can still enjoy this book. Though issue one has the thankless job of setting everything up for this Spring/Summer super event, there€™s still plenty of action and heroes. When the Phoenix Force threatens to wipe out Earth, the Avengers must try to stop it. So what€™s the problem? Well, the X-men have more experience with the Phoenix Force, and could probably help out a great deal, but they don€™t like to be told what to do by bossy-pants Captain America. The big question is: Which side are you on? Team Avengers? Team X-Men? Team Little Alien Kid Who Gets Killed On the First Page? (Don€™t pick the last one, unless you enjoy losing.)

Who We Think Will Win: The Avengers. While they can be rule-following nerds, they do have Thor on their side, and Thor is the jock of the Marvel Universe. The Hulk on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Magazine? What’s that you say?
