Brian Atwood directed a video and it was banned which really wasn’t a surprise since the fall 2012 short featured a completely naked Victoria’s Secret Angel, my future wife and baby mama once she lifts the restraining order, (Laugh) Candice Swanepoel save sometimes wearing a corset and some killer thigh high Atwood boots. Now that the kinks have been worked out designer Brian Atwood is back at it again. The designer teamed up with Mert & Marcus to come up with this spring 2013 video inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pool scene in ‘Something’s Got To Give’, starring the incredibly sexy Eva Herzigova.

The film is a playful, very tasteful expression of seductive femininity which is really the foundation on which Atwood’s shoes are built; not to mention that the gorgeous Herzigova is nude except for her shoes of course.

 “I think our last film and campaign was very sexual. It pushed the boundaries. But this is more feminine,” Atwood stated.

The video has a distinct Old Hollywood feel and shows Herzigova swimming around in a pair of floral heels (which Atwood thought resembled vintage swimming caps).

“Yes, there is a man [you only see his arm as he reaches over the pool to give Herzigova a martini], but it’s all about her,” added the designer, who notes that Monroe’s “unapologetic sex appeal” is a constant source of inspiration. “She was mesmerizing—she had this power over men and women. And I think we captured that in a modern and very luxurious way.”

Indeed, what could be more luxurious than wearing emeralds and sky-high sandals in a private pool? “Every woman wants to be that woman.” And Herzigova does a more than credible Marilyn impression.

“When we were filming, I told Eva that I didn’t realize she was so curvaceous,” Atwood said. “And she leaned over to my ear and said, ‘I’m three months pregnant.’ ”

Featuring the infamous pose titled ‘A New Wrinkle,’ while the lower portion advertises the ‘Paramount Paint & Lacquer Co.’, this 1952 page-a-month calendar signed on the right side in black ink “To my buddy, Ma_ _ / Love and Affection / Marilyn;” the “Ma_ _” being Mary Karger who’s the sister of Fred Karger, Marilyn Monroe’s vocal coach at Columbia Studios and one of her early love interests.

As many MM biographies indicate, Marilyn became part of the Karger family, remaining like a sister to Mary and a daughter to Anne [Fred's and Mary's mother], even after her romance with Fred ended. Both Mary and Anne attended Marilyn’s funeral by invitation of Joe DiMaggio who knew how close Marilyn had been to them. Interestingly, according to the latest MM biography, ‘Marilyn: The Paradox and the Passion’ [Bloomsbury USA, New York, 2012] by Lois Banner, on page 145, the author notes that Marilyn ”…dubbed Mary…’Buddynuts’” which explains the inscription. Estimate: $8,000 – up.

Have you heard of the 2008 Belgian thriller LOFT? Care to see it only this time in English an with a more recognizable cast? Good for you, because the original movie’s director Erik Van Looy has prepared an English-language remake of his own flick, now known as THE LOFT.

Fans of Transformers Rise Of The Fallen’s evil albeit gorgeous female Decepticon who wished we’d seen more of her get their wish in The Loft. We get to see MUCH more of Australia’s latest offering rising star, Isabel Lucas, as she gets all kinds of naked for this movie involving illicit sex, and of course the casual murder! THE LOFT follows five married friends who decide to rent a loft together where they can bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they realize that they don’t know each other as well as they thought and begin to suspect one another of murder.

The movie stars Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban, James Marsden, Rhona Mitra, Eric Stonestreet, Rachael Taylor and Isabel Lucas. The film is set to premiere sometime this year.
