This trailer has gotten me excited to see this film, though I must say that I just don’t know how it will be to see Superman on the big screen again, but this time seemingly without what has become his signature theme music. Hell they even used it on the show “Smallville” so maybe there’s some hope here. Speaking of Smallville, it seems they’ve incorporated some of the storyline elements from that into this movie as well. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think!

“Man Of Steel” is one of Warner Brothers’ biggest 2013 releases, so it goes to reason that a new trailer for the film will come attached to prints of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” Not that you need to enter Middle-earth to see the latest teaser: The ”Man of Steel” trailer is online and — to quote Teri Hatcher — it’s spectacular.

Directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan, “Man of Steel” recalls the oft-recounted origin story for Superman. As the first teasers hinted at, however, this isn’t necessarily your pa’s Man of Steel: Snyder’s film appears to have the earthy look of a Terrence Malick feature mixed with the gravitas of Nolan’s well-regarded Batman trilogy.

Henry Cavill stars as Superman, here presented with various stages of facial-hair growth. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane play the Kents, Russell Crowe is Superman’s alien father, Michael Shannon is General Zod (though Snyder won’t confirm that) and Amy Adams appears as Lois Lane. All get glimpsed at in the “Man of Steel” trailer, which includes enough epic money shots to be worthy of what fans hope is a franchise saving reboot; “Superman Returns,” the last Superman film, was rejected by both critics and audiences, despite earning nearly $400 million around the globe.

“My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, they would reject me,” Cavill-as-Supes says at the crescendo of the trailer. “He was convinced that the world wasn’t ready. What do you think?”

Superman Returns v. Man Of Steel trailers. Which do you think is the better trailer. As you know I posted the first trailer from the upcoming reboot of the Superman franchise Man Of Steel set to hit theaters June 2013. The thing is the trailer left me feeling rather blah. As in I wasn’t really excited about it at all which is really sad to me.

I am one of the many who remembers sitting in a dark movie theater in 1978 when for the first time we believed that a man could fly! The most beloved of all comic book characters was again brought to life in 2006 with Superman Returns which when I saw the first trailer for it had me smiling, minus the Jesus Christ undertones it was pretty cool! This time though, I’m just not feeling it. Hit the jump for the videos!

Superman Returns was a great and respectful nod to the very first time we saw the last son of Krypton on the big screen, even down to his “Flying is still the safest way to travel” speech he gives after rescuing the seemingly doomed airplane. Though I didn’t really like the costume change in that one, in how they removed the “S” from his cape.

Man of Steel somehow seems like a distant departure from what we already know even down to the major costume changes, of course it’s better than what Tim Burton had initially imagined. Anyway. Check out the trailers and you be the judge! Let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below!

A child sent to Earth from a dying planet is adopted by a couple in rural Kansas. Posing as a journalist, he uses his extraordinary powers to protect the his new home from an insidious evil.

A big rumor has just hit the net about an upcoming Superman and Batman team up movie. According to a website called ThinkMcFlyThink, Warner Bros. studios is quietly developing a “Worlds Finest” kind of movie that would bring DC superheroes Batman and Superman together on the big screen, which would be awesome!

But, remember this is just a rumor. The site also mentions that a Justice League is finally gaining some momentum, but that’s nothing new since earlier this year Warner Bros. Pictures president Jeff Robinov said that a live-action Justice League movie is in the works, that a script is currently being written, and that the plan is to release it in theaters in 2013.

Sources tell TMT WB is keen on getting a Justice League movie going and still high on The Flash despite Green Lantern being neither the critical or commercial success they’d hoped for nor was it embraced by fans. But the studio is also quietly developing a Batman/Superman team-up movie.

Similar to Justice League, the Brothers Warner has wanted to get their two biggest superheroes on the same screen together for years. The closest it came to fruition was Batman vs. Superman with Wolfgang Peterson-directing from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker. That fell apart as we all know, but executives loved that script.

In my opinion; DC has seriously been fucking up! We’ve had Superman, Batman and now Green Lantern. However, they have yet to have Wonder Woman! Universal/NBC seriously dropped the ball on their Wonder Woman TV show that is not ever going to air; with everything from who they cast to play Wonder Woman to them deciding to put it on the small screen.

But hey what do I know?

I do wonder how this new incarnation will be received by the fans, especially the hardcore comic-book geeks. Is I look at the costume I have to wonder what is up with Hollywood and their need to make everything look like cells, ala the new Spider-Man costume, and the previous Superman costume!

I’m not really sure what to think about ÀšÃ‚ Henry Cavill’s look as Clark Kent. He seems just a bit too stocky to me. I don’t know, I think thatÀšÃ‚ Brandon Routh whoÀšÃ‚ played SupermanÀšÃ‚ in the 2006 filmÀšÃ‚ Superman Returns was a better Clark Kent anyway.

I am very interested in hearing your thoughts on this. There’s also rumor that Laurence Fishburne has signed on to play Perry White in the upcoming movie!

Superman: Man of SteelÀšÃ‚ will be in theaters on June 14, 2013.
